About the role

Real Chemistry Media is seeking a strategic and commercially driven Managing Director, Growth & Client Partnerships to lead business growth across our Media organization. This executive leader will be responsible for driving new revenue, expanding strategic client relationships, and shaping the commercial strategy of the business. As a key member of the Media leadership team, this individual will partner closely with leaders across Media, Integrated Communications, Advertising and other capabilities to identify opportunities, strengthen market positioning, and accelerate growth.

This role can be remote within the United States or based in any of our U.S. office locations, including New York City, Boston, Chicago, Lambertville, NJ, San Francisco, or Carmel, IN.

Responsibilities

  • Drive growth of the Real Chemistry Media business by securing new media engagements, expanding existing client partnerships, and increasing media investment across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare accounts.
  • Lead media-focused business development efforts, including agency pitches, RFP responses, commercial strategy, pipeline management, and executive client presentations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior marketing, media, and commercial leaders, helping clients navigate omnichannel engagement, audience strategy, channel innovation, measurement, and the evolving healthcare media landscape.
  • Partner across Real Chemistry capabilities to develop integrated solutions that strengthen Real Chemistry's competitive position and accelerate media growth.
  • Elevate Real Chemistry Media's presence in the marketplace through thought leadership, industry relationships, conference participation, and strategic partnerships that drive long-term business growth.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in healthcare media, pharmaceutical marketing, media strategy, omnichannel engagement, or commercial leadership within a healthcare-focused agency environment.
  • Demonstrated success driving both new business acquisition and organic account growth.
  • Strong executive presence and experience engaging senior client stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare marketplace.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale pitches, RFPs, and strategic business development efforts.
  • Track record of building and expanding high-value client relationships.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing revenue growth objectives.
  • Experience working across matrixed organizations and leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Pay

Pay Range: $215,000-$285,000. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.

Schedule

Real Chemistry’s Real Hybrid and Regional Teams (Real HART) approach fosters collaboration, learning, innovation, and meaningful relationships while providing flexibility where appropriate. Work arrangements may vary by role and location:

  • For employees located within a one-hour commute of a Real Chemistry office, in-person attendance is required two days per week, either from a Real Chemistry office or when working onsite with clients.
  • Employees in regions without a nearby office may work remotely and come together throughout the year for collaboration, culture-building, learning, and team connection opportunities.
  • Certain teams and regions, including some UK operations, have office-based requirements.
