Managing Director - CFO Accounting Advisory

Location: Hempstead, NY – US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

About the role

This role will support financial discipline around P&L visibility, margin improvement, and business performance. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a Legal & Accounting environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical accounting support and audit engagements, including IPO readiness
• Enhance financial operations and positively impact clients' financial statements
• Engage proactively with clients to understand their business goals
• Provide insightful business recommendations and guidance
• Deliver analytical business insights through review and discussion
• Manage cross-functional teams to achieve client profitability targets
• Utilize networking skills to build relationships and acquire new clients

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field (Master's preferred)
• CPA required; CFA or other relevant certifications a plus
• 15+ years of relevant experience, including technical accounting advisory or Big 4 experience
• Industry experience specifically in private equity
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex engagements and manage senior client relationships
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

Pay

$215,950 – $409,420 annually
