Responsibilities
- Maintains book of fee/commissioned revenue business.
- Handles all aspects of client project work for medical and ancillary lines, including renewal negotiations, marketing projects, pre-renewal forecasting analysis, claim projection analysis, and full-insured/self-insured funding alternatives.
- Leads strategic planning, cost/benefit analysis, and budget forecasting projects.
- Builds and maintains relationships with assigned clients, ensuring prompt attention to their requests.
- Attends and organizes client meetings to discuss financial and service issues.
- Strategizes with clients on open enrollment communications, including conducting employee meetings.
- Develops relationships with insurance carriers to gain marketplace awareness and secure competitive costs for clients.
- Utilizes D365 to maintain client information and workflows.
- Identifies new trends and developments in the insurance marketplace.
- Assists Producers in pursuing new business opportunities with existing and new clients.
- Supports training and development of employee benefit-related products.
- Interfaces with new and current clients for service and related needs.
- Completes special projects as assigned.
- Analyzes and reviews Due Diligence for Private Equity partners and clients undergoing mergers and acquisitions.
- Manages project reports for various Private Equity partners.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Benefit insurance coverage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and D365 (CRM system).
- Ability to manage client needs and multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Critical thinking and attention to accuracy and detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a pleasant disposition.
- Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented mindset.
Qualifications
- At least 10 years of experience in the employee benefit field.
- College graduate.
- Brokers License.
Miscellaneous
- May require lifting packages up to 25 pounds.
- Up to 25% local travel time is necessary to meet client needs; occasional national travel may be required.
Pay
Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. Some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
