About the role
A well-established Plaintiff personal injury law firm is seeking a Managing Attorney to join its team in Kent, WA. The Managing Attorney will lead and supervise paralegals, legal assistants, and intake staff on the pre-litigation side of the firm, ensuring efficient case handling and exceptional client service.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the pre-litigation team, including paralegals, legal assistants, and intake staff.
- Manage cases from initial intake through pre-litigation settlement.
- Analyze cases to identify liability and insurance coverage issues.
- Review and edit demand packages.
- Communicate with clients regarding legal strategy and settlement negotiations.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and opposing parties.
- Oversee the settlement process and approve settlement statements.
- Coordinate with the litigation team to ensure a smooth transition of cases proceeding to litigation.
- Develop, maintain, and implement operational systems, workflows, and case management procedures.
- Help improve processes to support the firm's continued growth.
- Assist with overall firm management and day-to-day operations.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active Washington State Bar license and in good standing.
- At least 2-3 years of attorney experience, preferably in personal injury law.
- Strong understanding of personal injury pre-litigation matters is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong negotiation and client-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with attorneys and support staff.
- Strong leadership and team-management abilities.

Pay
Salary: $125,000-$180,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional performance-based bonuses tied to pre-litigation fee generation.
Schedule
Full-time, in-office position in Kent, WA. Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM. Some travel may be required.
