About the role

Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility for the legal direction of our Charlotte office
- Oversee the attorney team as it grows
- Handle the firm's most sophisticated family law matters
- Establish the standard of legal excellence for the office
- Partner directly with firm ownership to build a thriving practice in one of North Carolina's fastest-growing legal markets
Requirements
- More than an accomplished family law litigator
- A confident leader who enjoys solving difficult legal problems, mentoring other attorneys, and building a successful practice
- An understanding that exceptional family law representation requires outstanding legal ability, empathy, sound judgment, emotional intelligence, and leadership
- An individual who takes ownership, inspires confidence in clients and colleagues, and leads by example
- An individual excited by the opportunity to build and lead a thriving office, not simply manage their own caseload
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in North Carolina
- Minimum 5 years of experience practicing family law
- Experience managing a family law practice or supervising junior attorneys
- Proven track record of success in handling complex family law cases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
