About the Role
Voya Wealth Management is expanding its presence in Boston’s Seaport, and this role sits at the center of that growth. As Sales Manager for the Investor Center, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of how Voya delivers wealth management guidance. This is an entrepreneur’s opportunity for a leader who wants to develop people, deepen client relationships, and help scale a modern, fiduciary-focused advisory business.
Responsibilities
- Build Meaningful Client Experiences:
- Champion a discovery-first, consultative approach, helping advisors move beyond transactional interactions to trusted, long-term client partnerships.
- Coach advisors to consistently deliver Voya’s fiduciary and advisory standards.
- Drive asset retention and sales growth by strengthening client relationships and improving client outcomes.
- Develop and Grow Your Advisors:
- Provide hands-on, personalized coaching aligned to each advisor’s experience level, strengths, and career goals.
- Support advisors as they pursue additional licenses and professional development, reinforcing a culture of continuous learning.
- Create stretch opportunities that build confidence, capability, and career momentum.
- Act as a connector between individual advisor aspirations and broader organizational priorities.
- Lead, Improve, And Build What’s Next:
- Operate with a business-owner mindset, identifying opportunities to improve performance, processes, and advisor effectiveness.
- Contribute to planning and strategic initiatives across the Investor Center as Voya continues to expand its wealth management footprint.
- Ensure strong oversight of compliance, call quality, documentation, and supervisory responsibilities in a fiduciary environment.
- Use data and performance insights to guide coaching, identify emerging talent, and inform decision-making.
Qualifications
- Experience leading, coaching, or developing teams in financial services, sales, or a related environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build trust, develop talent, and improve team performance.
- Exposure to retirement, investment, or wealth management solutions, with interest in continuing to deepen expertise.
- Comfort operating in a regulated or fiduciary environment, or willingness to grow into this responsibility.
- Ability to translate business strategy into clear priorities and actionable coaching.
- A genuine passion for developing people and helping others succeed.
- A proactive, improvement-oriented mindset.
Licensing and Credentials
- FINRA licenses (SIE, Series 7, 66 or 63/65 and Series 9/10 and/or Series 24)
Voya supports leaders in obtaining, maintaining, or expanding required licenses as part of ongoing development.
Education
- A bachelor's degree is strongly preferred; however, an appropriate amount of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
- Advanced degrees or designations (MBA, CFP, CFA, CRPC) are a plus, but not required.
Pay
The annual base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $175,000 USD. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities based on performance.
