Manager, Visual Merchandising, House of Dior, New York
About the Role
Responsible for managing the visual merchandising strategy between cross-functional teams through planning, communicating, and executing seasonal collection launches and efforts to drive sales. Foundationally upholding a high standard of brand image and a data-driven business partnership. Leads a team of three VM Specialists and supports their career training and development.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a network of support so that VM works (installs, rotations, and maintenance) are a team effort, requiring preplanning to align all key contributors, including Boutique Management, Category Leaders, and Operations.
- Oversee visual efforts such as collection launches, window changes, business-related rotations, and in-store event setups, which may include overnights, weekends, and holidays.
- Manage display updates across Women’s, Men’s, Fine Jewelry & Watches, Maison, and Spa.
- Cultivate a culture where brand integrity and excellence are everyone’s responsibility, developing systems for display maintenance with attention to detail and accountability.
- Coordinate walk-throughs of displays and participate in morning meetings to foster ownership and alignment.
- Address merchandising concerns to accommodate business needs and corporate directives, adapting guidelines as needed.
- Communicate weekly schedules, guidelines, and future planning to all teams for full visibility.
- Prioritize business needs while balancing team capacity, ensuring effective time management and respectful communication of schedule changes.
- Develop and maintain close partnerships with Central HQ Image Team and local category VM leaders across all universes.
- Ensure diligent handling, care, and organization of props, including up-to-date inventory maintenance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Visual Merchandising experience in a luxury or specialty retail environment with exceptional attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with excellent planning, organization, and creative skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, including HQ, corporate, and retail teams.
- Experience developing and training teams, building relationships, and maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures.
- Strong understanding of the Dior brand image.
Pay
Salary range of $100,000 - $110,000 annually, plus bonus eligibility. The offered salary will depend on the candidate’s relevant skills and experience.
