Role Responsibilities
- Develop direct partnerships with relevant key business stakeholders, including financial planning & analysis team, legal team, international business team, and controller group
- Manage and make recommendations for outsourced workstreams and third-party relationships, including external auditors and tax advisors
- Mentor and develop tax professionals capable of supporting the requirements of each function and unlocking additional value
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance processes, controls, and tax results across the international function
- Manage the U.S. international tax process, including the computation, modeling, and reporting of GILTI (NCTI), Subpart F, FDII, FTCs, BEAT, and related E&P calculations
- Model the impact of new legislation and planning initiatives within the international business
- Manage international tax planning strategies with a focus on maximizing financial statement benefit, increased after tax cash flows, and mitigating tax exposure
- Partner with the transfer pricing manager on new cross border transactions by providing compliance requirements and modeling of global tax computations
- Support the defense of international tax audits through tax technical advice, gathering of documentation, and updates to computations
- Support global minimum tax (Pillar Two / GloBE) readiness, modeling, and ongoing compliance in coordination with regional tax, accounting, and external advisors
- Analyze interactions between Pillar Two, U.S. international tax (GILTI, FTCs), and financial reporting outcomes
- Manage the international tax reporting process, BEPS, and new global reporting requirements, including form 5471, 8858, 8990, 8991, 8992, 8993, and related schedules
- Manage the international aspects of the income tax provision (ASC 740) and all related analyses, reconciliations, and disclosures, including the year-end, and quarterly close processes
- Prepare and maintain technical memoranda, documentation, and audit ready support for significant U.S. international tax positions, including uncertain tax positions and disclosures
- Own and validate U.S. international tax data inputs, including E&P, tested income, foreign taxes, and intercompany data, ensuring consistency across compliance, provision, and planning
- Drive continuous improvement of U.S. international tax processes through automation, standardization, and effective use of tax technology tools
- Remain current on new international tax reporting, tax treaties, and other cross-border tax laws and regulations and consider these changes from a tax compliance and tax accounting perspective
- Maintain an effective internal control environment to ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and SOX regulations
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong technical tax knowledge in Federal, International, Planning & Analysis, and Tax Accounting
- Detail-oriented, organized, analytical, with a problem-solving mindset
- Ability to sufficiently understand/utilize global ERP and tax systems to ensure efficient processing and control (e.g., OneSource and SAP preferred)
- Excellent supervisory, interpersonal, teamwork and oral/written communication skills
- Proficient in MS office and advanced Excel
- Strong professional ethics and integrity
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- Education – Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required CPA, MST or JD (or equivalent) is required
- Experience – At least 5+ years’ corporate tax or public accounting experience (with a Big 4 firm or public company) is required 3+ years’ US international tax experience 3+ years’ experience with US GAAP, ASC 740, and SEC regulations is preferred 2+ years’ people management experience
