About the role

We are seeking a Private Equity/Commercial Due Diligence professional to join our Transaction Services and Private Equity (TSPE) US practice. This role involves expanding existing PE-client relationships with additional services, focusing on commercial due diligence.

Responsibilities

  • Support leading mid and large-cap PE clients, analyzing market and competitor dynamics, and understanding customer behaviors and perceptions.
  • Carry out market and competitor analysis to provide assurance to clients about market scale, growth, and trends.
  • Conduct customer and market surveys to gather insights into customer satisfaction and potential for growth.
  • Prepare parts of reports to be presented to clients, ensuring clarity and actionable insights.
  • Present findings both internally and to clients, providing recommendations for investment decisions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, collaborating on cross-border projects with other Simon Kucher offices.
  • Engage in the development of the team and market activities, supporting business development, recruitment, marketing, and early-stage initiatives.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of experience within consulting or in the strategy/M&A function of a corporate, with experience in commercial due diligence engagements.
  • CDD experience is mandatory.
  • An undergraduate degree is required; advanced degrees are optional.
  • Experience leading commercial due diligence and/or growth strategy projects is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, comfortable with financial modeling and market analysis.
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, including work plans, deliverables, budgets, schedules, and accounts receivable.

Benefits

  • Total compensation includes a base salary, performance bonus, eligibility for annual merit-based increases, and a comprehensive benefits package.
  • The base salary range for this position is between $170,000 to $180,000 per year for US roles.
  • Benefits for eligible employees include paid time off, 13 paid holidays, medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
