Manager, TPI R&D Chemistry
About the role
TerraPower Isotopes® (TPI™) focuses on developing medical isotopes to advance nuclear science for human health, supplying radioisotopes for revolutionary radiotherapies targeting cancers such as prostate, colorectal, and non‑Hodgkin’s lymphoma. The division leverages TerraPower’s unique access to thorium for long‑term production of actinium‑225 and aims to expand into other nuclear‑medicine treatments. As part of the Washington‑state TerraPower team founded in 2006 by Bill Gates and visionaries, TPI contributes to the company’s mission of leading new nuclear technologies while developing future leaders in the nuclear field. The Manager, TPI R&D Chemistry will lead the radiochemistry process development team, interface with engineering, operations, production, quality, regulatory, safety, and program management, and support the scale‑up and commercial production of actinium‑225.
