Manager, Test & Proving Grounds Management
About the role
Supporting Scout’s definition of quality and process validation.
Driving project activities to ensure the best performance for Quality KPI’s, such as warranty, customer satisfaction scores and internal audits.
Create, participate and actively manage Proving Ground operations including validation, random failure, reliability and cross-functional collaboration.
Manage Proving Ground Technicians including their participation in validation activities and coordination of vehicle maintenance and part changes.
Create and actively manage maintenance/spare parts ordering, storing and usage during validation activities.
Supporting development of engineering solutions and validation issues while maintaining Quality Assurance and program requirements.
Keep an ongoing list of project strengths and weaknesses for future improvement.
Technical understanding of current vehicle status to drive design for manufacturability and repairability.

Requirements
This role may be based out of the Scout Motors future operating grounds of Phoenix, Arizona. This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time. Travel: Domestic and international travel required, approximately 20-30% of the time. Valid driver's license required. Passport required.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in an engineering related field or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of relevant experience, preferably in OEM environment.
- Strong background in Proving Ground operations and Technician management.
- Extensive knowledge and experience root causing issues and working cross-functionally to countermeasure customer facing issues.
- Excellent problem-solver with a strong quality and customer-focused mindset.
- Communication skills (interpersonal, presentation and writing) to articulate customer requirements and impact across hierarchy and functional levels (e.g., Director and Vice President Level).
- Ability to identify tasks, develop methodologies and plans, and execute with minimal supervision; own assignments to ensure the project success.
- Strong leadership skills, able to effectively interact with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to handle multiple assignments with competing priorities.

Pay
Initial Base Salary Range: $120,000.00 - $145,000.00
