About the role

The Manager, Technology leads the delivery, support, and ongoing improvement of technology systems, network infrastructure, broadcast systems, and event technology services across the L.A. LIVE campus. This hands-on leadership role ensures technology systems are reliable, scalable, and aligned with business and event needs. The role involves close collaboration with clients, vendors, and internal teams, as well as on-site support for events, including managing part-time event technology staff. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day Technology operations, assigning and scheduling work to maintain team efficiency and meet SLAs.
  • Line manage, mentor, train, schedule, and oversee full-time and part-time event technology staff to promote high service standards and operational efficiency.
  • Partner across departments and technical teams to align technology services with operational and business needs.
  • Provide hands-on support and administration for Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory, Windows 11, and Office 365, and deliver end-user support.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and support IT, network, and technology systems to ensure reliable operations.
  • Strengthen IT Service Desk operations by driving end-to-end ticket ownership and rapid issue resolution.
  • Perform physical support tasks, including lifting, moving, and deploying IT equipment for workstations and events.
  • Maintain accurate visibility of IT hardware assets, enforce security standards, and manage equipment and parts.
  • Manage and configure network and telecoms infrastructure for office and live event environments.
  • Collaborate with AEG Global Technology Network Team to plan network layouts and integrate new hardware.
  • Provide on-site IT, network, and cabling support for campus events, ensuring reliable connectivity.
  • Coordinate resources and develop technical requirements based on client needs for event execution.
  • Manage after-hours support requests, diagnose issues, and escalate critical incidents as needed.
  • Collaborate on special projects and operational initiatives to strengthen technology capabilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior leadership.

Requirements

  • AA/AS Degree (BA/BS preferred) in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Network, or related field.
  • 4–6 years of experience in IT, networking, technical event management, and supervising part-time event staff.
  • 4–6 years of experience with Cisco network hardware/software, Cisco Unified Communications, SIP trunking, UCCaaS, and ServiceNow.
  • 4–6 years of experience in project participation, including mid-to-large scale projects and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • 4–6 years of experience with billing processes, including understanding invoice components and services.
  • Full fluency in telecommunications concepts, SIP, VoIP, Incident/Problem Management via ServiceNow, TEM, and network support.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate confidently across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize competing requests and manage projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of network infrastructure, including configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting port settings and VLAN changes.
  • Ability to rack, stack, move, and lift IT/telecommunications equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Knowledge of structured cabling standards, including 110 punch-down blocks and terminating RJ45 connectors to T-568B standards.
  • Ability to work outside standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
  • Willingness to travel domestically.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Apple devices, including iPhones and MacBooks.
  • Experience configuring and supporting Cisco VoIP telephony systems.
  • Prior experience in media, live events, hospitality, or similarly fast-paced operational environments.

Pay

$124,063 - $158,090

This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
