Manager, Technical Program Management

About the role

The Program Manager will lead the execution of XBU GTM activities for advanced AI projects. They will engage with Product Managers to assess and prioritize direct customer feedback during pilot activities, driving execution via mature Agile practices. They will manage a team of Systems and SW Engineers, Test Engineers, Operations, etc., from initial concept to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Product Managers to assess and prioritize direct customer feedback during pilot activities.
• Lead the execution of solutions inclusive of concept definition, requirements validation, architecture specification, and governance compliance to our Application Lifecycle Management framework.
• Translate customer problems into solution requirements.
• Lead system integration planning, release management, and planning for demonstrations, proof of concepts and pilots.
• Lead cross-functional workstreams and drive execution for sales enablement, development and deployment.
• Work independently with business in defining proof of value and customer’s return on investment.
• Organize and lead scrum teams as an agile scrum master (SM) or a release train engineer (RTE).
• Execute multiple limited scope projects simultaneously or a large program with senior manager’s guidance utilizing modern project management methodologies to ensure maximum project effectiveness.
• Organize and present business, technical and program reviews/status to Senior Leadership using digital media, dashboards and JIRA agile project management tools.
• Owns ensuring alignment from key leaders of milestone achievement before moving the program forward.
• May lead multiple limited to moderate scope projects simultaneously or manage a larger program directly.
• Supports early stage go to market activities and transition to marketing.
• Develop and protect intellectual property; be well versed with IP fundamentals.
• Explore and understand competitive landscape in both product and business terms.
• Define strategic initiatives to align the business to agile product development.
• Work closely with Portfolio Management to ensure strategic goals align and are represented in the innovation feature roadmap.
• Assist in the development of business plans, strategies and approaches to take advantage of business opportunities.
• Initiate strategic partnerships with technology companies (including startups) that are developing adjacent new cutting-edge solution elements.
• Partner with Zebra Ventures to identify entities that are added-value to your business and solutions.
• Develop and protect intellectual property; be well versed with IP fundamentals.
• Explore and understand competitive landscape in both product and business terms.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8+ years of experience with a minimum 2 years as team lead/supervisor.
• Strong full life cycle Program Management experience.
• Drive program management initiatives while understanding the environment and scope of the program.
• Scrum agile methodologies implementation experience.
• Experience with software development best practices including Scaled Agile, TDD and Continuous Integration; a track record of applying these methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree preferred.
• Understand the components of the AI development lifecycle from both a development and GTM perspective.
• Experience driving efficiencies through AI and work history in automation and digital transformation.
• Interface Software Development knowledge.
• Experience with production agile flow processes and standard tool sets such as JIRA/Confluence and the MS Office Suite.
• Past responsibility for multiple significant delivered-tomarket solutions in asset intelligence (Location Services, Machine Learning, Machine Vision).
• Experience with Cloud development and Software/Services development integration, as well as mobile application development for Android or iOS.
• Experience working independently and as part of a team to solve difficult technical, quality, cost, and schedule challenges.
