Manager, Technical Design- Women's Fashion
Position Summary
This position requires relocation to NYC and involves onsite work 5 days a week. As a Manager, Technical Design – Women’s Sweaters & Knits, you will oversee the fit and technical development of women’s apparel products to ensure they meet Walmart’s standards.
What You'll Do
Lead fit sessions with women’s fit models and utilize 2D & 3D pattern tools to evaluate and validate sweaters and knit samples for fit, performance, and functionality.
Establish and maintain grade rule tables and block libraries to streamline the fit process for women’s products.
Drive a data-led approach to understand customer insights, returns, and implement learnings to enhance fit and meet customer expectations.
Conduct internal and external wear tests for sweaters and knits to gather wearer feedback and implement corrective actions.
Provide detailed technical direction to vendor partners to align with women’s design and fit intent.
Collaborate with Women’s Design, Product Development, and Sourcing teams to define and execute fit and functional intent for each sweater and knit product.
Manage the end-to-end fit cycle using PLM knowledge, creating and maintaining detailed technical packages in PLM.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Textiles, Design, or related field and 2 years’ experience in technical design, product development, or relevant area OR 4 years’ experience in these areas.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in apparel manufacturing, product development, and working on cross-functional teams. Master’s degree in Design.
