Manager, Subcontracts

About the role

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supplier Program Manager to join our dynamic team. This role requires leading and managing the performance of our suppliers to ensure they meet the high standards of quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness required for our diverse range of programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Subcontract Managers, ensuring high performance and alignment with program requirements.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Drive supplier performance improvement initiatives with a focus on quality, delivery, cost, and innovation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to manage and resolve supplier-related issues.
• Proactively address and mitigate risks to ensure program success.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies and procedures.
• Lead the supplier selection process and participate in negotiations to secure favorable pricing and terms.
• Monitor supplier performance through key metrics and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and present program status reports to senior leadership.
• Travel required – 25% to 30%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience; or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience; or in lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex supplier relationships and programs.
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes and principles.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to achieve results in a fast-paced, complex environment.
• Willingness to travel and flexibility to work extended hours are required.
• Must be willing and able to travel regularly to other Aerojet Rocketdyne facilities and suppliers across the country.
• Demonstrated abilities in team building, leadership and delegation skills to achieve project objectives are also required.
• Experience in leading, encouraging, reviewing and critiquing work of supporting team members to maximize program success.
