Manager, Store Development

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Casey’s store prototype program, site design standards, engineering functions, and remodel program.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of acquisition and remodel project blueprints and the remodel pipeline.
• Manage project planning activities, including cost estimates, material forecasts, labor projections, contractor coordination, and project timelines.
• Monitor project progress and provide reporting on development timelines, construction schedules, and forecasted capital spend.
• Serve as a key partner to Real Estate, Construction, Operations, Service, Legal, and Store Development teams to align priorities and deliver successful projects.
• Maintain strong relationships with design consultants, engineering partners, and external stakeholders.
• Lead the Project Design team responsible for conceptual drawings, CAD standards, and remodel construction drawing sets.
• Provide strategic direction to Civil, Petroleum, and Geotechnical Engineering resources to ensure consistency in building, site, and fueling system standards.
• Oversee the Engineering team responsible for new store building systems, remodel design updates, and prototype drawing standards.
• Contribute to growth planning and capital investment strategies that support acquisition, remodel, and new store development initiatives.
• Responsible for hiring, training, salary administration, performance management, coaching and corrective actions for direct reports.
• Responsible for collaborating with team members on career development and goal setting.
• Acts as a champion of a committed and empowering culture, working with direct reports and team members on modeling Casey’s values.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least seven years of experience in retail development, construction plan development and review, and field construction management.
• Advanced proficiency in Smartsheet, including project scheduling, resource tracking, reporting and cross-functional project coordination.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, project estimating tools and methodologies, and applicable design, engineering and building codes.
• Demonstrated knowledge of engineering and construction principles, practices, procedures and industry standards.

Pay

Compensation Starting pay range: $99,900 - $139,000. Actual pay may vary based on Casey’s assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity.

Benefits

This position is eligible for an annual cash bonus based on company performance and an annual equity grant in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
