Manager, Store Construction Procurement

About the role

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Store Development to partner with global stakeholders to understand business requests and align on procurement strategies, implement global procurement target initiatives and strategies to achieve cost savings, identify opportunities for process improvement, analyze spend data and identify cost-saving opportunities, cost containment / avoidance or revenue, manage RFx and sourcing projects by preparing, issuing, and evaluating analysis, engage vendor in negotiations and prepare final price list and / or recommendations to stakeholders, project planning including timelines deliverables and stakeholder alignment, prepare business cases to quantify savings and/or benefits of initiatives, research market trends and leading practices to discover and execute cost savings initiatives, contract management from vendor engagement, terms, negotiations and execution.

Responsibilities

• Partner with global stakeholders to understand business requests and align on procurement strategies
• Implement global procurement target initiatives and strategies to achieve cost savings
• Identify opportunities for process improvement
• Analyze spend data and identify cost-saving opportunities, cost containment / avoidance or revenue
• Manage RFx and sourcing projects by preparing, issuing, and evaluating analysis
• Engage vendor in negotiations and prepare final price list and / or recommendations to stakeholders
• Project planning including timelines deliverables and stakeholder alignment
• Prepare business cases to quantify savings and/or benefits of initiatives
• Research market trends and leading practices to discover and execute cost savings initiatives
• Contract management from vendor engagement, terms, negotiations and execution

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5-7 years of Strategic Sourcing/Procurement experience, Performance Measurement, Contract Negotiation, Business Analysis, Change Management experience
• 3-5 years of industry/category specific experience in Architecture & Store Construction (Construction Materials, Store Fixtures, Store Furniture, Architecture & Construction Services)
• Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology with pragmatism to manage exceptions
• Experience managing and maintaining strong supplier relationships
• Strong leadership presence and negotiation/contract management experience
• Knowledge and experience with procurement/spend systems data and analysis
• Strong interpersonal and management capabilities to manage and develop Sourcing Specialists and Category Analysts
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong problem solving, analytical and report summation, and conflict resolution skills
• Knowledge and experience with materials, finishes, manufacturing processes and quality management

Skills

• Firsthand working knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology
• Technical knowledge of architecturals, shop drawings and material usage
• Team Building, Technical knowledge and expertise, high degree of business acumen, management, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
