About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Manager / Sr. Manager, Clinical Operations - FSP West Region to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will oversee clinical operations support for a regional team, with a strong focus on people leadership, performance management, and staff development. The position also partners closely with senior leadership to support project delivery, training effectiveness, and ongoing process improvement across clinical trial activities. In addition, the role contributes to strategic planning and business development efforts within the organization. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coach a team in clinical operations, ensuring strong performance and professional development
- Conduct performance appraisals and support career development for staff
- Manage onboarding and induction programs for new hires to ensure a smooth transition
- Maintain accurate records related to staff training and performance documentation
- Support project lead activities and escalate issues that may affect deliverables
- Identify training gaps and deliver training on SOPs and local requirements
- Collaborate with senior management on strategic planning and business development initiatives
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in clinical operations or a related field
- 1+ year of leadership experience managing or mentoring staff
- Strong knowledge of SOPs, WPDs, ICH/GCP, and FDA guidelines
- Excellent clinical trial monitoring skills, both remote and on-site
- Advanced organizational, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills

Pay
$115,000 – $178,000 annually

Standard Monday through Friday work schedule
