About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our talented Code Advanced Payroll development teams. This role offers the unique opportunity to oversee the continued excellence of our foundational payroll application with cross-platform integrations on a highly scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure while simultaneously building and scaling new applications powered by AI. To succeed, you must balance the reliability essential for enterprise systems with the speed and agility of building new solutions from the ground up. As a technical leader, you will mentor engineers, set a bold technical direction, and deliver industry-leading HCM features that impact hundreds of thousands of businesses and millions of employees.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the interview and hiring process.
  • Prepare and administer annual reviews, development plans, and make promotion and salary recommendations.
  • Handle personnel planning and allocate team members to meet Enterprise Development project needs.
  • Identify and mentor future leaders and managers for company growth.
  • Support and assist multiple agile development teams and their scrum masters, with a strong working knowledge of agile development principles.
  • Help remove roadblocks that agile teams cannot solve independently.
  • Provide input to product owners on product strategy and vision, and give feedback on the content and prioritization of the product backlog.
  • Build relationships with other IT departments and business units to facilitate inter-department communication and agile team progress.
  • Act as a catalyst for change to improve applications or processes benefiting IT and/or the business unit.
  • Demonstrate application knowledge and understand functionality outside your area of expertise to identify potential impacts and minimize risks.
  • Respond to questions from other IT departments and business units, coordinating resolution of critical issues to support production applications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer-related discipline (Preferred).
  • 7 years of experience in a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in supervisory, management, project leadership, or project management.

Pay

The starting base pay range for this position is $117,345 - $184,400 annually. Your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience.
