We are seeking an accomplished and experienced leader who has built scrappy fast paced teams, ideally working on generative AI products, to join our team and lead our AI efforts from inception to implementation. What You'll Do At Figma
- Lead and grow a diverse team of engineers building and advancing Figma's AI capabilities across core products
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, AI Research, and Data Science to define strategy and drive a clear roadmap for AI-powered experiences
- Hire, mentor, and retain exceptional engineering talent, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and thoughtful risk-taking
- Drive 0→1 innovation by identifying opportunities and applying emerging AI technologies to meaningfully improve the user experience
- Champion Figma's commitment to diversity and inclusion by actively contributing to equitable hiring practices, team development, and cross-company initiatives
We'd Love To Hear From You If You Have
- 3+ years of experience hiring, leading, and developing high-performing engineering teams
- Proven experience building and scaling AI-powered product capabilities, ideally in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Demonstrated track record of driving 0→1 product development, with the ability to translate ambiguous ideas into impactful, production-ready features
- Strong ability to build and operate fast-moving teams that balance innovation with execution
- Genuine curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging AI technologies and their application to user-facing products
Added Plus
- Knowledge and experience in generative AI, RAG, the fine-tuning process and its application to creative products
- Experience digging into product analytics and data yourself to help create new opportunities or investment areas for your team

Pay
Annual Base Salary Range: $258,000 - $376,000 USD. The actual compensation will be decided based on factors including individual qualifications, skills, prior relevant experience, potential impact, scope of role, market demands, and specific work location. For remote roles, the pay range is localized according to employee work location by a factor of between 80% and 100% of range.
