About the role

As part of the Adjudication Development Engineering team, you will be expected to be proficient in all critical functions of the application development and will champion SDLC methodologies with a deep understanding of best practices to ensure that quality standards are met. This team directly impacts the lives of our pharmacy customers by creating systems that process prescriptions. The systems we work with process over 10 million scripts a day and are business critical.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate team or group activities with CVS Health and vendor staff resources.
  • Provide guidance and direction to project teams and direct reports on planning and execution of projects, technical and functional standards and practices, process and procedures, and career development.
  • Participate in annual budgeting, capital processes, and quality improvement activities for the organization.
  • Manage assigned functional areas through detailed planning of projects, resources, and skillset mapping.
  • Provide technology guidance to resources, planned according to the functional and technical skillset required for project delivery.
  • Successfully deliver all projects and programs without compromising quality, budget, scope, and schedule.
  • Meet scheduled milestones to ensure projects/programs objectives are met in a timely manner.
  • Follow and provide guidance on principles, practices, and techniques within the application area and organization.
  • Contribute to IT project planning for one or more business areas; review progress toward plan regularly with clients and make modifications as necessary.
  • Ensure the team follows work, documentation, certification, and audit requirements.
  • Set yearly goals focusing on career development and layout plans of action to achieve them.
  • Perform periodic assessments of CVS and vendor resources, providing formal and informal feedback to address performance gaps.
  • Conduct mid-year and year-end assessments, providing comprehensive feedback on strengths and development areas.
  • Oversee, review, and take action on timesheets for CVS and vendor resources to ensure compliance.
  • Actively participate in recruitment and selection processes for both CVS and vendor candidates, as well as lead onsite and offshore vendor relationships.
  • Ensure teams adhere to the highest degree of integrity and Code of Conduct standards.
  • Consult with business and IT stakeholders during project execution to ensure expectations are met.
  • Address challenges or roadblocks to accomplish project goals and expectations.
  • Identify and develop services and service level agreements (SLAs); educate senior leaders on service-related information and continually improve related processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Information Technology experience including leadership and development management experience in core development and delivery areas.
  • 5+ years of experience in information technology principles, development methodologies, and use of platforms/applications or software products.
  • 5+ years of experience mentoring and supervising full-time employees' work and career development, as well as onsite and offshore vendor relationships.
  • 4+ years of experience in handling customer expectations and relationship building.
  • 4+ years of experience leading large or multiple application teams to deliver projects and initiatives effectively.
  • 4+ years of technology development (Design, Coding, and Testing) experience in Cloud/Web/Legacy technology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Health Care and PBM background.
  • IBMi Power Platform and Cloud experience.
  • Experience with AI/ML skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

Pay

The typical pay range for this role is $92,700.00 - $185,400.00. This pay range represents the base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
