About the role

The Manager, Security Operations leads the SecOps function, overseeing application security, security monitoring tools, compliance initiatives, and incident response activities. This role manages a small cross-functional security team and drives major initiatives such as continuous application security scanning and remediation, SOC 2 and regulatory audit support, and FedRAMP/GovRAMP efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee application security, security monitoring tools, compliance initiatives, and incident response activities
  • Manage a small cross-functional security team (SecOps engineers, AppSec engineers, and a compliance analyst)
  • Set and communicate the security roadmap
  • Partner closely with infrastructure, development, CX leadership, and corporate IT to strengthen the company’s overall security posture
  • Drive major initiatives such as continuous application security scanning and remediation, SOC 2 and regulatory audit support, and FedRAMP/GovRAMP efforts
  • Serve as a liaison during security incidents—potentially acting as Incident Commander
  • Owning elements of the security budget, supporting tool strategy, and promoting a strong security-aware culture across the SaaS organization

Requirements

This position is best suited for a technically strong security leader who combines hands-on security operations experience with people-management capability and cross-organizational influence. The ideal candidate is someone comfortable operating in a fast-moving SaaS environment, able to guide engineers while collaborating with executive stakeholders and external auditors, and capable of balancing strategic planning with tactical execution.

  • Familiarity with enterprise security tooling and monitoring platforms
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Experience with cloud platforms, distributed systems environments, containerization, networking fundamentals, and scripting or development concepts
  • Experience supporting regulated frameworks like SOC 2 or FedRAMP
