Manager, Security Engineering

For our client, we are seeking a Manager Security Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will lead technical work focused on secure, reliable systems and risk-aware execution. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $180,500 – $270,700 annually Responsibilities Ship code changes and monitor Kubernetes clusters Drive remediation of cloud vulnerabilities and maintain audit evidence Collaborate with teams to identify challenges and create impactful solutions Design and implement technical solutions for enhanced logging and security Provide constructive feedback on code reviews and architecture documents Actively engage in coding and reviewing with the team Conduct 1:1 meetings to support team members' growth and development Qualifications 5+ years of experience in cloud security, particularly with AWS or GCP Proven track record managing a security-compliance program (e.g., SOC 2, FedRAMP) Hands-on experience with Terraform, GitOps, and autoscaling techniques Strong leadership experience within software development for large-scale SaaS products Diverse technical knowledge for solving complex problems and mentoring teams Ability to dynamically adapt roadmaps in a changing environment Benefits Top-tier health, dental, and vision insurance Hybrid work with a minimum in-office requirement Flexible time off, encouraging 20 days annually Annual $2000 counseling benefit RRSP matching and RESP contributions Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
