The Manager, Risk, Disputes at 8am serves a key role in ensuring our Dispute Defense team is consistently achieving positive results for our clients and keeping our company’s exposure to chargeback risk and fraud low.

What You'll Do

• Manages and monitors the Dispute Defense team in order to uphold our excellent client service.
• Works with our clients to help them dispute chargebacks.
• Performs collections when our customer loses a chargeback case.
• Ensures all chargeback responses are submitted within industry timeframes.
• Reports on win percentages.
• Helps the team monitor chargeback ratios and manage chargeback reduction plans.
• Collaborates with our processing partners on vision and process alignment.
• Focuses on evolving processes and eliminating manual workflows.

About You

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• A “can-do” attitude that is always willing to go above and beyond their everyday tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to excel in a collaborative, team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Office Suite of tools (Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Docs).
• AI forward in automating process work flows.
• Strong background and understanding of the chargeback process and industry regulations.
• Experience in managing a high functioning team.
• Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve workflows, enhance decision-making, or drive innovation.

Additional Information

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000. The salary range for performing this role outside of the US / Austin / California may differ. 8am is committed to offering competitive, fair and commensurate compensation and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and education.
