About the role
This position is responsible for developing and managing the recruiting strategy for the Stores Operations team, leading the store recruiting team, and handling full-cycle recruitment for senior-level Store Operations leadership positions.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the store recruiting team, including coaching, training, mentoring, performance development, and succession planning.
- Collaborate with managers, hiring managers, and Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) to determine competencies, skills, and abilities needed for open positions.
- Continuously research potential resources to recruit top talent for open positions.
- Build networks through local markets, job fairs, social media, networking events, user groups, chamber events, and colleges.
- Market and represent Tractor Supply Company (TSC) to potential candidates by explaining company culture, mission, values, and career opportunities.
- Analyze and manage the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and job offer process, including determining appropriate offers, onboarding, and efficiency improvements.
- Oversee and verify the recruiting budget, including forecasting and cost-saving initiatives.
- Collaborate with Senior Store Operations leadership on recruiting for District Manager, RVP, and SVP positions.
Requirements
- 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience with a focus on recruiting.
- 2 years in a supervisory role is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred; any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Skills
- Knowledge of Applicant Tracking System (ATS) management.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of recruiting methods, laws, and regulations.
- Knowledge of budget planning, forecasting, and general financial considerations.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team of recruiting professionals.
- Detail-oriented approach to work.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

- Physical requirements include sitting, standing (not walking), walking, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
