About the role
HII’s Mission Technologies is seeking a Manager Program Control to join the team. This position can be remote. Key responsibilities include monitoring work operations, providing financial planning and reporting support, managing project setup, preparing estimates, identifying financial risks, and performing various financial analyses.
Responsibilities
- Makes daily observations of work operations and assists or directs subordinates as needed
- Supports Program Managers with revenue and funding planning, reporting, and analysis
- Led project setup in compliance with contractual terms and requirements
- Prepares program financial Estimates at Complete (EACs) and meets corporate submission deadlines
- Identifies and analyzes project financial risks and opportunities
- Reviews and assesses contract modifications, advises on financial impacts
- Maintains monthly cost and manpower tracking, ensuring actuals are within budget
- Performs analytical reviews and arithmetic checks on cost reporting documents
- Prepares accurate and complete actual vs forecast/plan variance analysis and reports
- Supports Operations Reviews with financial presentations
- Prepares financial Contract Data Requirements (CDRL) for programs
- Performs ad-hoc financial analysis as requested by PMO and others
- Maintains funding status, providing timely notifications by line item detail
- Supports accounts receivable during billing processing
- Prepares subcontractor and vendor accruals as per GAAP and internal policies
- Ensures program revenue and profit are recorded in compliance with the EAC
- Analyzes profit risks and opportunities, advises management on optimal paths
- Adheres to GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, FAR, and company policies and procedures
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree in a related field; 2+ years with a master’s degree; or 8+ years with a high school diploma and relevant experience
- Strong background in multiple government contract types: FFP, FPI, FPLOE, T&M, CPAF, CPFF, CPIF, and hybrids
- Proficiency in Excel and MS Office suite, with a working knowledge of relevant software applications
- Excellent organizational skills, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Customer service focus
Qualifications
- Must possess a strong background in government contracting
- Prior government contracting experience preferred
- Deltek Costpoint experience preferred
