Responsibilities
- Lead an Assembly team to achieve all business objectives including safety, quality, continuous improvement, production, profitability, customer service, and other internal metrics, consistent with the lean principles.
- Supports all aspects of production processes including safety, quality, delivery, cost and morale and drives successful implementation of Scout’s Production System processes and standards.
- Help lead assembly from development phase though SOP on New Models
- Drive Problem Solving activities and innovation in area with support from Management.
- Review daily KPI’s, lead root cause analysis on issues in area with support of Process Lead, Industrial Engineer, and Quality Engineer.
- Support with change management initiatives in the section, drive workforce engagement, and provide coaching and feedback to all employees.
- Ensure compliance in all audit initiatives and all areas of the operations.
- Manage resources to support project completion of lean projects.
- Drive launch and mid-cycle action activities, cost improvements, and raising the bar on quality and product safety.
- Monitor launch curve attainment for new programs and establish PDCA as needed.
- Lead the elimination of waste in all aspects of the business.
- Motivate, cultivate, and promote teamwork and problem solving in a positive, proactive work environment.
- Ability to work any shift and support overtime based on the business requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in automotive assembly, Finish (End of Line) with maintenance responsibilities, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering in automotive technology, Manufacturing, or related field. An equivalent amount of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Strong understanding of continuous improvement systems, such as TPS, VPS, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Strong understanding of pre-series builds, Finish (End of Line), and the automotive production process.
- Hands on experience with assembly tools, jigs and fixtures in manufacturing setting.
- Experience in managing maintenance teams and coordinating repair activities.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various levels of employees and management within all areas of the Plant.

- Ability to effectively lead a diverse workforce, develop, and mentor above and beyond required operational and business objectives.
- A strong working knowledge of Body-In-White, Paint, Assembly Operations, Logistics and Maintenance.
Skills

Pay
Initial Base Salary Range: $140,000.00 - $170,000.00
Schedule
This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina. This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.
