Responsibilities
- Define the Vision: Develop and champion the strategic roadmap for new business models and commerce capabilities, including Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Device-as-a-Service (DaaS), Subscription services, Usage-Based Billing, and various licensing models (e.g., concurrent, floating, feature activation).
- Create compelling business cases, including market analysis, financial modeling, and anticipated ROI, to secure executive alignment and investment for transformation initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to ensure Shure remains at the forefront of modern commerce models in the Pro Audio and conferencing spaces.
- Lead the Transformation: Serve as the primary driver and product owner for implementing new commerce capabilities across all functional domains.
- Partner with the IT and Engineering teams to define requirements for the billing system, entitlement engine, customer portals, and integration points necessary to support new models.
- Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Business Process teams to establish operational processes (e.g., revenue recognition, provisioning, invoicing) and pricing/licensing policies.
- Work closely with individual Hardware and Software Product Managers to ensure new business models are seamlessly integrated into their respective product roadmaps and lifecycle plans.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Channel teams to define the optimal go-to-market strategy, pricing structures, and sales enablement materials for new offerings.
- Define the requirements for Customer Service and Customer Success teams to effectively onboard, support, and manage customers utilizing subscription or usage-based models.
- Lead pilots, beta programs, and controlled launches, iterating quickly based on customer feedback and operational performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7+ years in Product Management, with significant experience (3+ years) specifically defining and launching SaaS, Subscription, or complex licensing/commerce models in a B2B or B2B2C context.
- Proven track record of leading major business model shifts, ideally within a company that has traditionally focused on hardware or perpetual licenses.
- Strong understanding of the technology required to support modern commerce (e.g., billing platforms, entitlement management, API integration, cloud services).
- Exceptional ability to influence, align, and drive complex projects across diverse functional teams (Engineering, IT, Finance, Sales, etc.) without direct reporting authority.
- Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate a complex vision to technical teams and executive leadership alike.
