Manager - Procurement Equipment & Parts

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is a leading semiconductor technology company, dedicated to advancing innovation for tomorrow's devices. As an EQP (Equipment and Parts Management) Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement lifecycle for main equipment, service contracts, and components across all semiconductor fabrication sites.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing and procurement strategy for main equipment, service agreements, and component parts across all Fab operations.
- Develop and execute category and supplier strategies aligned with Fab operational needs and company business priorities.
- Manage strategic supplier relationships (including qualification, onboarding, performance management, periodic business reviews, and continuous improvement programs).
- Lead negotiation of price, lead time, payment terms, quality requirements, and commercial agreements to achieve optimal cost and supply assurance.
- Drive cost-savings through should-cost analysis, benchmarking, supplier management, and Cap-ex project execution.
- Effectively manage 4 functional teams through coaching, training, and organizational design to manage operations.
- Support supply readiness for new Fab operations, capacity expansion, and large-scale equipment investments.
- Drive process development and improvement to support expanded Fab operations.
- Partner with internal stakeholders including Fab Engineering, Finance, Legal, Logistics, and Executive Leadership to support strategic procurement decisions.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, supplier management, and related functions.
- 5+ years of experience managing teams, cross-functional initiatives, and/or strategic supplier programs.
- Experience in the semiconductor, high-tech manufacturing, or electronics industries preferred.
- Proven experience managing large-scale Cap-ex investment projects.
- Ability to effectively balance complex priorities in a fast-paced, global, and highly technical manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Proven experience in global supply chain management, risk management, cost modeling, supplier performance management, and project management.
- Professional certifications (such as CPSM, PMP, or similar) are preferred.
Pay and Benefits
The current base salary range for this role is between $138,000 - $179,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors including organizational and individual performance.
