About the role

Tower Research Capital is a leading quantitative trading firm founded in 1998, built on a high‑performance platform and independent trading teams, with a 25+ year track record of innovation and a reputation for discovering unique market opportunities. The firm employs some of the world’s best systematic trading and engineering talent, empowering portfolio managers to build teams and strategies independently while providing the economies of scale of a large, global organization. Engineers develop electronic trading infrastructure, solving challenges in low‑latency programming, FPGA technology, hardware acceleration, and machine learning. Business Support teams are essential to building and maintaining the platform that powers everything Tower does — combining market access, data, compute, and research infrastructure with risk management, compliance, and a full suite of business services. Tower is seeking a commercially minded Procurement Manager to strengthen its global procurement and logistics capabilities. This individual will operate independently within established priorities and serve as a trusted partner to senior business stakeholders, suppliers, and other support functions.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the development and execution of end-to-end sourcing strategies, independently managing assigned initiatives from requirements gathering and market analysis through negotiation, contracting, implementation, and renewal
  • Serving as a commercial partner to internal stakeholders, translating business requirements into actionable sourcing strategies, supplier recommendations, and execution plans
  • Leading negotiations within agreed parameters across pricing, commercial terms, service-level agreements, performance measures, and renewals, ensuring alignment with business objectives and company requirements
  • Developing pricing, scenario, and total-cost models while supporting forward-looking contract and renewal planning across commercial risks, obligations, performance commitments, and key milestones
  • Independently managing and prioritizing assigned purchasing activity in partnership with Procurement Operations, ensuring responsive, accurate, and compliant execution aligned with business priorities
  • Delivering strategic spend and category analytics across suppliers, departments, and regions, identifying demand trends, commercial risks, savings opportunities, supplier consolidation potential, and areas to increase Spend Under Management
  • Supporting logistics and supply continuity strategies, coordinating across internal teams and suppliers to mitigate fulfillment risks, improve delivery performance, and resolve critical supply issues
  • Supporting the evolution of a scalable global procurement operating model, including policies, governance, processes, data, controls, systems, reporting, and ITAM-related capabilities
  • Providing execution and decision support to procurement leadership across strategic priorities, transformation programs, special projects, and time-sensitive business needs
  • Evaluating processes, stakeholder experience, controls, and data quality to identify and implement approved improvements that increase efficiency, reduce cost, strengthen governance, and improve service delivery

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, finance, operations, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Five to ten years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, vendor management, or a closely related role, ideally supporting a high-volume and fast-moving organization
  • Strong command of the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, sourcing best practices, contract renewals, and purchasing operations
  • Demonstrated success negotiating commercial terms and developing clear, decision-ready financial and pricing analyses
  • Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and executives and influencing outcomes across functions without relying on direct authority
  • Strong project-management capabilities, including the ability to independently prioritize assigned work, manage competing demands and risks, and drive work to completion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, sound judgment, strong problem-solving skills, and exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience in technology, financial services, quantitative trading, or another technically complex environment
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning, source-to-pay, contract-management, or procurement platforms such as Oracle, SAP Ariba, GEP, or comparable systems
  • Experience supporting and communicating with senior and executive level stakeholders
  • Experience with procurement-system implementation and transformation initiatives

Benefits

  • Generous paid time off policies
  • Savings plans and other financial wellness tools available in each region
  • Hybrid working opportunities
  • Free breakfast, lunch, and snacks daily
  • In-office wellness experiences and reimbursement for select wellness expenses (e.g., gym, personal training and more)
  • Company-sponsored sports teams and fitness events (JPM Corporate Challenge, Cycle for Survival, Wall Street Rides FAR and more)
  • Volunteer opportunities and charitable giving
  • Social events, happy hours, treats, and celebrations throughout the year
  • Workshops and continuous learning opportunities
