Manager Procurement
About the Role
As a Manager Procurement at Gulfstream, you will lead a high-performing procurement team responsible for managing one of Gulfstream’s most significant supplier relationships. This role oversees procurement activities supporting production, customer support, and completions operations while driving supplier performance, cost effectiveness, and on-time delivery across a broad portfolio of aircraft products.
Responsibilities
- Lead procurement activities supporting multiple Collins Aerospace business units that supply Gulfstream products and services.
- Manage supplier performance across a diverse portfolio that includes avionics, cabin interiors, aircraft power systems, and other critical aircraft components.
- Drive order book performance and ensure material availability to support production, customer support, and completions requirements.
- Develop and execute sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management strategies that align with business objectives.
- Lead large-scale, high-profile procurement projects from planning through successful completion.
- Review, approve, and participate in negotiations for major agreements, contracts, materials, equipment, and services.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, quality requirements, and approved budgets.
- Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure continuity of supply.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers while driving accountability for performance, quality, cost, and delivery.
- Serve as a key liaison between procurement, finance, engineering, manufacturing, legal, program management, and executive leadership.
- Develop and maintain procurement metrics, reporting, and performance dashboards.
- Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing procurement team through coaching, mentoring, and career development.
- Cascade organizational goals and foster a culture of collaboration, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
- Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives, inventory optimization efforts, and cost reduction programs.
- Travel up to 25%, including international travel to Europe.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree preferred.
- Six years of progressively responsible procurement, supply chain, contracts, or sourcing experience, including leadership experience or demonstrated ability to lead programs and processes.
- Proven procurement leadership experience with strong team-building and talent development skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate and influence stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Experience managing procurement activities in a fast-paced ERP-driven environment.
- Demonstrated success managing complex supplier relationships and high-value procurements.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detailed knowledge of purchasing methods, contract administration, and procurement best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace industry experience.
- Experience working with sole-source suppliers.
- Experience in manufacturing and/or aftermarket environments.
- Demonstrated ability to hold suppliers accountable and drive measurable performance improvements.
- Experience managing broad and complex supply chains supporting multiple business functions.

Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in business administration or related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Master's Degree preferred. 6 years progressively responsible experience in procurement or contracts to include 1 year in a leadership capacity or demonstrated ability to lead programs or processes.
