About the role
This role serves as the primary technical contact for external developers, focusing on executing and supporting live third-party integrations. The role involves leading strategic consultations, supporting complex integrations, and advancing the company's mandate to expand its servicing and platform experience.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical interface to lead consultation and support on complex integrations leveraging Capital One APIs, File Transfers, Gateways, and integration services
- Actively support the full integration lifecycle to improve the partner experience based on user feedback
- Reduce integration friction and cycle times while safeguarding high-risk data flows in production environments
- Lead strategic projects advancing strategic mandates to expand services internationally and to new assets
- Evolve and enhance our team operations
- Be able to handle ambiguity, dive deep, and conduct detailed analysis to identify root causes and partner with internal and external teams to find resolution
- Perform with minimal direction and be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
- Bridge the gap between technical teams by converting intricate partner error logs into clear solutions for internal teams, while simplifying internal Capital One standards into clear, manageable tasks for our external users
- Interact effectively with senior leaders as well as engineers
- Maintain excellent presentation skills, written and verbal communications
- Participate in on-call duties, based on a rotational schedule, to manage incident-related support by coordinating with internal partners to unblock issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or military experience
- At least 4 years of work experience in client-facing professional services
- At least 4 years of experience in system integration technologies, standards & tools (e.g., RESTful APIs, Authentication methods, JSON, Postman, File Transfer protocols and Filezilla)
- Master’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering
- Experience working with standard web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, and mobile development is preferred
- Knowledge of financial and payments industries, and emerging technology trends
- Exposure to Agile methodology
- Strong understanding of data management technologies and processes
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills
- Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills
