Responsibilities
- Ensures delivery of quality pharmacy services for all patients.
- Safeguards the pharmacy inventory with essential drugs and pharmaceuticals, and oversees all related purchasing and receiving duties.
- Develops and maintains departmental technology.
- Collaborates in conducting regular inspections of all medication centers.
- Serves as RASMAS Pharmacy Coordinator for product recall system.
- Develops the pharmacy budget and monitors its financial performance.
Requirements
- Recommends staffing levels, selects and assigns staff, evaluates performance, evaluates/testing competencies (as applicable), provides orientation, training and continuing education of staff, and initiates or makes recommendations for personnel actions.
- Coordinates and integrates services within the department/service line/entity, with other departments/service lines/entities, and with the System's primary functions.
- Participates in the selection of outside services (if needed).
- Continuously assesses and improves the department/service line/entity/System's performance.
- Maintains appropriate quality control/assessment programs (if applicable).
- Assists with completing monthly statistics and financial documentation.
- Aids in departmental planning.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy, Doctorate Pharm.D. Preferred.
- Work Experience: 3 years Relevant experience. Required and Supervisory experience. Required.
- Licenses: Licensed Registered Pharmacist Upon Hire Required.
- Courses and Training: Completion of 5 or 6 year program from accredited school of pharmacy. Upon Hire Required.
