Manager, Personal Care Service
About the Role
The Personal Care Service Manager is responsible for the assigned deliverables for all aspects of Personal Care Attendant (PCA) II & III. This role provides support to all PCA IIs & IIIs across all PACE service centers and PACE Alternative Care Settings (ACS). The manager ensures standardization in the day-to-day supervision and operation of PACE Center PCA IIs & IIIs.
Collaborating with ancillary functional leaders, this position ensures all PACE participants receive high-quality care at the PACE center and/or in their home care settings. Responsibilities include subject matter guidance on clinical support, participant personal care, recreational therapies, administrative tasks, nutritional services, participant transportation, and day center activities to ensure efficient and effective delivery of health care and social services at all AltaMed PACE centers.
This role requires strong operational oversight of system modifications, training, and problem resolution/escalation with internal departments and external resources. The manager reviews and trains staff on script modifications, monitors performance, and identifies or creates workflows to enhance patient satisfaction and efficiency. Collaboration with all ancillary services at PACE Centers and PACE ACSs, Center Managers/Directors, and corporate leaders is essential to ensure handoff standardization, timely problem resolution, and patient follow-ups for an optimal patient experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, Gerontology, Health Care Administration, or other health care discipline preferred.
- Unrestricted & active licensing required if holding a clinical degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisor or management position in healthcare or a related field; geriatric experience highly preferred.
- Experience working collaboratively with some or all of the following disciplines: nursing, social work, psychology, recreation, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, dietetics, and/or gerontology.
- Experience in process or quality improvement projects or activities preferred.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish/Chinese Mandarin/Chinese Cantonese preferred.
- Valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
Pay
$79,281.31 - $99,101.65 annually. Actual salary offers consider factors such as budget, experience, skills, education, licensure, certifications, and other business considerations. The range is subject to change. This role may also qualify for discretionary bonuses or incentives.
