Manager, Payroll Operations

For our client, we are seeking a Manager, Payroll Operations to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will oversee payroll operations across a complex, multi-entity environment while helping ensure accuracy, compliance, and service excellence. The manager will partner with internal stakeholders and an outsourced payroll team to support timely execution and continuous process improvement. This position is well suited for a payroll leader who can balance regulatory discipline with strong communication and team leadership. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 annually Responsibilities Oversee and support the outsourced offshore payroll team in resolving complex issues Influence and negotiate with key stakeholders to drive payroll initiatives Educate client groups on changes in payroll policies and practices Collaborate with business leaders to align payroll strategies with organizational objectives Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing and compliance with statutory requirements Implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy Coach and lead team members to achieve business and customer results Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in payroll management 5+ years of experience with multi-entity and multi-country payroll Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and tax compliance Experience managing vendor relationships with third-party payroll providers Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word Effective communication skills across all organizational levels Benefits On-site collaboration to foster creativity and innovation Minimum of 4 days in-office presence for most roles Flexibility and work-life balance considerations COVID-19 vaccination proof may be required for certain roles Workplace accommodations considered per applicable law Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
