Job Description
Your Leadership in Action
Lead payroll operations, including payroll processing, time collection, payroll balancing, reporting, tax form administration, and issue resolution to ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery.
Manage and develop the payroll team through recruiting, training, coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, including tax reporting, wage and hour requirements, garnishments, and record retention.
Establish and maintain payroll procedures, controls, reconciliations, and quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
Lead payroll system enhancements, upgrades, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, automation, and compliance.
Serve as the primary payroll resource and liaison for Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology, auditors, vendors, and organizational leaders on payroll-related matters.
Qualifications
- What’s Required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
5–7 years of progressive payroll administration experience, including payroll processing, compliance, and operations.
3+ years of leadership experience with a proven ability to develop staff, manage resources, and drive process improvements.
Experience with payroll, timekeeping, and workforce management systems preferred.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred.
