About the role
The Manager, Parts (Central) is a central analytics and strategy role responsible for managing the parts business across all 7 sites, as well as supporting parts needs for Carvana inspection centers (ICs) as part of the broader Fixed Ops supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Own parts inventory strategy across the network—determine what to stock, where, and in what quantities.
- Manage ordering processes, reorder points, and stocking levels to maximize parts availability while minimizing carrying cost and obsolescence.
- Set and manage parts pricing in coordination with the Strategy & Analytics Sr. Manager.
- Manage vendor relationships—negotiate pricing, evaluate supplier performance, and ensure a reliable supply chain.
- Own the central parts returns process to minimize dead stock and maximize financial recovery on unused parts.
- Support IC (inspection center) parts needs as part of the broader Fixed Ops supply chain network.
- Analyze parts attach rates, gross margin by category, and shrinkage to systematically identify and execute opportunities to improve.
- Provide strategic guidance and best practices to on-site Parts Leads regarding stocking optimization and process compliance.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in supply chain, central inventory management, analytics, or strategy roles (automotive or parts industry experience highly preferred).
- Exceptional analytical and data-driven problem-solving skills, with experience managing inventory algorithms and complex datasets.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate corporate strategy into execution and provide guidance to site leadership.
- Prowess in managing vendor relationships, evaluating supplier performance, and managing commercial negotiations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining alignment across network operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- A valid driver's license.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must have a clean driving record with no more than two moving violations or DUI’s in the last three years.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds frequently.
- Must be able to walk up to three miles each day.
