Manager, Packaging Engineering
Responsibilities
- Lead and support cross-functional dialogue surrounding packaging projects and priorities
- Identify cost-savings initiatives
- Communicate packaging metrics to local leadership teams
- Ensure general packaging team success
Requirements
- 8+ years’ experience in Packaging Engineering in a manufacturing setting
- Previous experience managing engineers
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes including machining, welding, injection molding etc.
- Strong knowledge in a large variety of materials (aluminum, steel, composites, foam, etc.)
- Experience with designing to standards such as ASTM, Mil-Spec etc.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities at once without sacrificing quality of results
Qualifications
Working knowledge of CAD, technical drawings, GD&T, and related skills
Skills
Strong knowledge in a large variety of materials (aluminum, steel, composites, foam, etc.)
