As part of the Outreach Physician Education team, you will deliver patient-focused innovations by partnering with clinical professionals and training them on our groundbreaking products. Aortic stenosis impacts millions globally, yet it remains under-diagnosed and undertreated. Edwards’ pioneering work in transcatheter aortic heart valve replacement (TAVR) offers a life-changing solution by providing heart valve replacement without open-heart surgery. Our Transcatheter Heart Valve (THV) business unit partners with cardiologists and clinical teams to transform patient care with evidence-backed devices, driven by our mission to help patients live longer, healthier lives.

In this role, you will contribute to the strategy and execution of therapy development initiatives for THV, including Outreach and Physician Education (OPE) speaker programs. The primary objective is to execute THV’s vision of ensuring TAVR availability for all eligible patients. You will support the Provider Engagement and Strategic Sales Programs Team, focusing on developing and executing programs to drive TAVR adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the execution and development of outreach and physician education programs, and assist with Therapy Development program oversight to support education on severe aortic stenosis and TAVR.
  • Manage systems and programs required for Outreach and Therapy Development using Salesforce, Excel, and Microsoft tools to track and approve requests.
  • Work closely with healthcare providers on field-based outreach programs.
  • Identify market needs and national objectives to shape educational programs by defining learning goals, agendas, speaker guidance, and facilitation.
  • Collaborate with compliance, legal, regulatory, and cross-functional partners on program/content development to ensure accurate documentation for Sunshine reporting, contract compliance, and HCP travel/payments.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to inform launch strategies and assess market dynamics and competition.
  • Assist in training, coaching, and educating Therapy Development Managers and/or the U.S. Field team.
  • Lead comprehensive launch plans for major products and initiatives, including strategy and tactical execution.
  • Contribute to the execution of complex program and therapy education curriculum, content, objectives, strategies, timelines, and outreach efforts.
  • Develop and update educational content based on clinical evidence, FDA approvals, and market trends.
  • Create training materials tailored to specific audiences, ensuring alignment with clinical data, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Design and revise training presentations and documents.
  • Partner with internal teams (marketing, brand, communications, training, medical affairs) and external advisors to align messaging and strategy.
  • Engage Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to drive strategic collaboration and communication nationwide.
  • Collaborate across functions to support sales programs, outreach programs, and presentations.
  • Lead corporate initiatives and process improvements that deliver organizational value.
  • Investigate and implement automation tools to streamline program execution.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Edwards compliance, AdvaMed, Sunshine, and other transparency requirements and reporting.
  • Analyze program performance and market trends to inform strategy and program design.
  • Maintain current knowledge of structural heart disease, TAVR, and relevant clinical data.
  • Manage program-related budgets and payments.
  • Communicate complex information with clarity and diplomacy across internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 8 years of previous related experience or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria.

  • Proven successful project management skills.
  • Excellent organization and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel, and other related technology platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills, including negotiating and relationship management to drive achievement of objectives.
  • Extensive knowledge of your area within the organization while contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.
  • Extensive understanding of related aspects of sales programs processes and/or systems.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks independently, handle multiple complex tasks, manage change, and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Ability to communicate complex and potentially controversial information internally and externally with tact and diplomacy.

Pay

The base pay range for this position is $105,000 to $148,000 (highly experienced). The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., geographic location, qualifications, education, prior experience).
