Manager, Operations Finance

About the role
The Manager, Operations Finance supervises and coordinates all aspects of a medium-large facility business office within the company's financial and operational goals and objectives. Supports the facility and Facility Support Center staff in all financial and operational matters related to the activities of the facility, including purchasing, billing, warehousing, commissary, computer support, and inmate accounts.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation and review of monthly variance analysis, monthly forecast of revenues and expenses, annual facility budgets, and periodic ad hoc analysis.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned personnel engaged in calculating, posting, and verifying data for use in maintaining accounting, statistical, and other records.
- Implement and monitor internal accounting and operational controls at the facility.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for facility management review, using analytical skills to identify trends and efficiency improvement opportunities.
- Establish, document, and coordinate the implementation of financial, accounting, purchasing, and administrative procedures and internal controls in keeping with GAAP, company policies, regulations, and contractual requirements.
- Prepare, maintain, and issue records and reports required by management, regulatory agencies, and contracting agencies.
- Assist and participate in regulatory agency, contract, and fiscal audits of the facility.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the terms and conditions of various and/or complex management contract(s).
- Manage the business office and facility fiscal operations, including the facility commissary and warehouse operations (e.g., internal controls, physical inventories, invoicing, pricing policies, and contract compliance).
- Oversee departments such as mailroom, maintenance, and laundry operations as assigned.
- Assist with facility start-up/closure(s), problem-solving, and training of business office staff or other operational needs.
- Provide support or training at other facilities as needed.
- Participate in or lead peer group discussions with personnel from other facilities.
- Domestic U.S. travel may be required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited college or university (required).
- Five years of increasingly responsible business experience (required).
- Two years of supervisory experience (required).
- Additional qualifying business experience may substitute for up to two years of the required education.
- Working knowledge of accounting principles, Microsoft Word, Excel, and principles/practices of supervision, training, and management.
- Experience with Enterprise software such as Oracle/JD Edwards (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license (required).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.

Pay
$62,000.00 - $67,000.00 per year.
