Manager of Web Application Development

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of developers -- manage resources, assignments, priorities and tasks
• Assigns work to staff and supports them in analysis, design, Development and Testing
• Oversees the development, implementation and execution of assigned software development projects using IT SDLC processes
• Designs, develops, maintains and supports web based applications and other development projects as appropriate
• Develops intelligent applications to automate processes and to increase efficiency and productivity
• Hands-on development of both front-end and back-end
• Using latest technologies
• Translate complex business and functional requirements into technical designs and solutions
• Takes ownership of maintaining production support of web applications and IT Web application service delivery
• Promotes the SDLC processes including comprehensive code reviews, DevOps, and release management
• Works with Director of Web Applications Development to specify systems, processes, and methodologies to ensure effective monitoring, control, and support of service delivery
• Creates and maintains functional and technical documentation
• Develops and maintains in-depth knowledge of the Claims Core System
• Develops and maintains in-depth understanding of latest technologies that include C#, ASP.NET, MVC, SQL Server, Oracle, and JQuery
• Provides feedback to staff regarding performance and complete annual reviews on-time

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Seven plus (7+) years of software design, development, and QA experience
• 2-5 years of managing software development projects
• 5-7 years of experience in database development using SQL Server and Oracle database servers

Special Skills, Licenses and Certifications

• In-depth understanding of latest technologies that include C#, ASP.NET, MVC, SQL Server, Oracle, and JQuery
• Significant knowledge of Healthcare is a plus
