Job Summary
The Surgical Services Nurse Manager oversees staff activities, daily schedules, and department financials. They perform all duties of a surgical service registered nurse, supervise 24/7 operations, ensure efficient service delivery, provide appropriate staffing, develop and implement programs and protocols, coordinate performance improvement initiatives, manage inventory, and facilitate smooth patient transitions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) or more years of experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Prior supervisor experience, required
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Current RN licensure in Florida
- BSN, required
- MSN, preferred
- Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association
- Current ACLS Certification through American Heart Association
- Current PALS Certification through American Heart Association
