About the role
The Manager of Sterility Assurance oversees the implementation and maintenance of sterile processing protocols to ensure patient safety and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and execution of sterile processing policies and procedures
- Ensure all staff are trained in sterile processing techniques and regulations
- Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning and sterilization effectiveness
- Collaborate with other departments to address issues related to sterile processing
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., healthcare, biology)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sterile processing or related field
- Knowledge of FDA and state regulations related to sterile processing
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Qualifications
- Experience with sterile processing equipment and techniques
- Understanding of infection control principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Skills
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
