About the Role
This position has 24-hour responsibility for daily operations, including staffing, staff development (licensure, competency, orientation, etc.), communication, supplies, patient assignment, student rotations, department standards of care, and procedures. Enforces billing and documentation standards. Keeps the director and medical director informed and involved as appropriate. Provides direct patient care for patients from neonate through geriatric as necessary and delivers appropriate educational opportunities required for the department.
Requirements
- Must have and maintain a Respiratory Care Practitioner License from the State of Georgia. It is the individual’s responsibility to meet all educational, ethical, and moral qualifications necessary to maintain a license in good standing.
- Graduate of an A.M.A.-approved Respiratory Therapy program.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist via the National Board of Respiratory Care.
- Must maintain BLS, ACLS, and neonatal certifications.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Therapist. Management experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Membership in a professional organization preferred.
