About the Role
The Center for the Study of Southern Culture at the University of Mississippi seeks a detail-oriented professional to assist in drafting communication content and creating unit communications in support of the unit’s communication goals.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, research, and document content sources according to established policies and procedures.
- Receive and respond to general inquiries from individuals and groups following established policies and procedures.
- Write and edit content for various communication projects and marketing platforms to align with unit goals.
- Draft and support the authoring of a range of documents for internal and external audiences.
- Review documents and communications for accuracy.
- Assist in creating communication campaigns that align with work unit or program strategies.
- Compile the Living Blues Radio Charts (monthly).
- Compile the Living Blues Festival Guide.
- Update the Living Blues Index.
- Explore grant options.
- Spearhead Friends of Living Blues fundraising.
- Engage and develop Living Blues social media pages.
- Oversee the Living Blues website and e-commerce.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (required).
- Relevant experience is considered but not required; an equivalent combination of related experience and education may substitute on a 1:1 basis.
Pay
$42,640.00 - $63,980.80 per year.
