About the role
The Manager of Patient Financial Services leads the Stewardship Guides and oversees the day-to-day revenue cycle for Oaklin Lane's growing network of pediatric therapy clinics. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Operations, this role offers a clear path to becoming the Director of Patient Financial Services.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and grow the Stewardship Guide team
- Own day-to-day patient financial services execution across the organization
- Manage Texas Medicaid (TMHP), Availity, clearinghouses, and EVV systems
- Run denial management end to end
- Track and report on revenue cycle KPIs
- Partner with the Director of Clinical Operations and the Access Pathway team
- Oversee payer credentialing and ensure every clinician is enrolled and current
- Manage payer portal access, vendor relationships, and outsourced services
- Refine PFS policies, procedures, and playbooks
- Stay ahead of Texas Medicaid policy updates, billing compliance requirements, and regulatory changes
Requirements
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years in revenue cycle management, patient financial services, or medical billing
- Experience in outpatient or pediatric facility revenue cycle (preferred)
- Experience in Texas Medicaid — TMHP, CHIP, prior authorization workflows, EVV, and compliance requirements
- Experience managing or mentoring direct reports (required to promote to Director)
- Proficiency with EMR and practice management systems, Availity, and clearinghouses (Raintree Systems or similar pediatric EMR a plus)
- Comfort with spreadsheets, basic data analysis, and weekly/monthly KPI ownership
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace
- SQL familiarity

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
