Growing together. UnitedHealth Group is seeking a highly motivated Manager of Accounting to join its Accounting team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of enterprise-wide lease accounting reporting and regulatory filings, including oversight and support of lease accounting activities for acquired and non-real estate integrated businesses. The position serves as a key partner to stakeholders across Accounting, Finance, M&A, and Lease Administration, driving consistent application of accounting policies and processes. Additionally, this role is responsible for maintaining a strong internal control environment by ensuring financial controls are appropriately designed, monitored, and remediated as needed to support compliance, accuracy, and operational excellence. Primary Responsibilities Drive the design and standardization of lease accounting processes for newly acquired businesses, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and compliance requirementsServe as the subject matter expert on ASC 842, advising acquired businesses on lease accounting matters to drive consistent enterprise-wide application of GAAPPartner cross-functionally with Corporate SEC Reporting to ensure timely and accurate preparation of lease-related disclosures and footnotes for quarterly and annual reportingSubject matter expert for CoStar Lease Accounting toolSingle point of contact for acquired entities for Lease Accounting for UHGLead, mentor, and develop team members to maximize engagement, performance, and career growthCollaborate with M&A and lease administration teams to ensure acquired businesses are accurately established and maintained within CoStar lease administration and accounting systemsMonitor compliance with financial controls and identify, remediate, and prevent gaps in accounting processes You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent field8+ years of relevant professional experienceDemonstrated experience:Solving moderately complex lease accounting problemsWorking as a member of a cross-functional teamSupporting a month-end close processProviding customer support in a highly matrixed organizationResearching US GAAP accounting policies and translating the findings into practical applicationCoStar Accounting & ASC 842 experienceAdvanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products Preferred Qualifications Licensed CPA (or expired CPA)PeopleSoft & Hyperion Essbase experienceAll employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
