Manager of Integrity Services - Houston

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop multidisciplinary technical teams responsible for Pipeline Safety, Materials & Welding, Engineering Records, and GIS.
  • Establish consistent engineering standards, technical governance, and integrity management practices across the organization.
  • Mentor technical staff and supervisors while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Pipeline Integrity & Engineering
    • Provide technical leadership for pipeline integrity engineering programs supporting both existing assets and new construction.
    • Oversee pressure testing programs and engineering calculations for pipeline systems.
    • Lead Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure (MAOP) and Maximum Operating Pressure (MOP) confirmation activities, including review of traceable, verifiable, and complete documentation.
    • Develop and provide technical oversight for Engineering Critical Assessments (ECAs) supporting integrity decisions, uprates, repairs, and fitness-for-service evaluations.
    • Review engineering analyses supporting repair prioritization and integrity management decisions.
  • Materials & Welding Governance
    • Provide technical oversight of materials qualification, manufacturing quality, and welding engineering programs.
    • Support evaluation of material specifications, manufacturing processes, quality documentation, and supplier qualifications.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards and materials governance requirements.
  • Integrity Management & Regulatory Compliance
    • Oversee engineering evaluations associated with in-line inspection (ILI) results, anomaly assessments, remaining strength calculations, and repair method selection.
    • Support overpressure protection studies, operating pressure evaluations, and other integrity engineering assessments.
    • Lead or oversee pipeline failure investigations and Root Cause Analyses (RCA).
    • Audit technical documentation to ensure engineering quality and regulatory compliance.
    • Serve as a technical representative during regulatory inspections, audits, and external reviews.
  • Project Support
    • Provide integrity engineering support during brownfield modifications and greenfield expansion projects.
    • Participate in design reviews and engineering studies to ensure new facilities meet applicable engineering and safety requirements.
    • Collaborate with Project Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Compliance, and GIS teams throughout project execution.

    Qualifications

    • Required:
      • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
      • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in pipeline integrity, pipeline safety, asset integrity, or engineering within the energy infrastructure industry.
      • Demonstrated experience leading technical engineering programs supporting pipeline integrity and regulatory compliance.
      • Strong knowledge of: Pipeline integrity engineering, Pressure testing, MAOP/MOP confirmation, Engineering Critical Assessments (ECAs), Pipeline anomaly assessment, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Materials and welding engineering.
      • Experience collaborating across Engineering, Operations, Compliance, GIS, and Supply Chain organizations.
      • Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and organizational skills.
      • Willingness to travel up to 15%.
    • Preferred:
      • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
      • Master's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
      • Background in metallurgy, materials engineering, welding engineering, or mechanical integrity.
      • Experience supporting Engineering Critical Assessments for integrity management and fitness-for-service evaluations.
      • Experience supporting regulatory inspections, audits, or incident investigations.
      • Familiarity with modern pipeline integrity management practices and industry standards.
      • Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
      • Technical expertise in Pipeline Integrity Management, Engineering Critical Assessments (ECA), In-Line Inspection (ILI), MAOP/MOP Confirmation, Pressure Testing, Pipeline Risk Assessment, Materials Engineering, Welding Engineering, Mechanical Integrity, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Asset Integrity Management, Regulatory Compliance, GIS-supported Asset Management, Brownfield and Greenfield Project Support.
