Manager of Culinary Operations

About the role

Lead all kitchen operations, including patient meal services, cafés, and physician lounge, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality food and service.

Collaborate with departmental leaders to align foodservice strategies with organizational goals, patient needs, and regulatory standards.

Manage staffing plans, training programs, and performance evaluations to build a skilled, engaged, and customer-focused team.

Ensure compliance with food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and local, state, and national regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement through operational audits, service quality initiatives, and data-informed decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Creative, innovative, and receptive to change.
  • Proficient in Windows Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Can calculate recipe ingredient amounts for fluctuations in serving size (catering/cafeteria).
  • Proficient in cashier services, counting money, using cash register.
  • Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Proficient in CBORD computerized software programs preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, hospitality management, or related field.
  • 4+ years of management/supervisory experience.

Qualifications

  • Food Handler Certificate (FHC) preferred.
  • ServeSafe Certification (SERV) required.
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred.

Skills

  • Knowledgeable in Windows Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to calculate recipe ingredient amounts for fluctuations in serving size (catering/cafeteria).
  • Proficient in cashier services, counting money, using cash register.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Proficient in CBORD computerized software programs preferred.

$54,680.66 - $101,717.57
