Manager of Controls

About the Role

Carrier Enterprise (CE) is seeking an experienced Commercial Controls Manager to join a leading national distributor of residential and light commercial HVAC products, parts, and supplies. The successful candidate will be part of a team that excels in providing top-notch HVAC/R solutions through licensed HVAC/R dealers and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Provide a primary resource for customers to answer controls questions
• Assist in operating the existing Certified Controls Expert Contractor Programs
• Maintain Technician Certification documentation and establish training & testing requirements
• Assist in conducting training classes for the sales & installation of Carrier controls systems for dealers
• Attract elite contractor memberships in the Factory Controls Authorization Program
• Supports roll out new controls products to the Controls Expert dealers
• Grow the Carrier Commercial Controls presence in the assigned Carrier Enterprise region(s)
• Manage the interface between the factory and customers
• Travel throughout the assigned region(s) to provide support to Carrier controls dealers

Requirements

• An undergraduate degree in a technical discipline
• 5 years of experience in HVAC Systems Controls support

Qualifications

• Proven experience in HVAC systems Controls support
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers in a clear and concise manner
• Proficiency in using remote support tools and software to diagnose and resolve customer issues
• Customer-centric mindset with a passion for providing exceptional service and resolving customer problems effectively
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively to identify and resolve technical issues
• Familiarity with HVAC commercial systems Controls Software, ideally i-Vu
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, coordinating efforts with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple customer cases simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
• Willingness to continuously learn and stay updated on new HVAC technologies, products, and industry trends
